Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation:
As the leading national volunteer-based organization dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation works collaboratively to fund, support and advocate for relevant and innovative breast cancer research, meaningful education and awareness program, early diagnosis and effective treatment and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.
Foundation activities are coordinated by a National office and four regional offices, including the Prairies/NWT Chapter. From coast to coast through our Chapters, the Foundation addresses the needs of Canadians across our culturally and geographically diverse landscape.
Breast cancer is a disease that will affect 21,600 Canadian women and 150 Canadian men this year. Mortality rates from breast cancer are currently at their lowest since 1950 as a result of earlier detection through organized mammography screening programs and additional therapies following surgery. Lifestyle choices such as not smoking, eating healthy and staying physically active can plan any important role in reducing cancer risk.
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Prairies/NWT Chapter is pleased to be the charity of choice of the Wonderful Wedding Show for the second year.
