Sonal and Jasdeep met through mutual friends at a Winnipeg Art Gallery event. They spent what felt like the entire night talking and getting to know each other. It didn’t take long after that for them to realize that they had something special.

During a trip to Vancouver, Jasdeep had planned a surprise dinner at Stanley Park. They had arrived at the park early so he suggested they take a walk along the trail. Sonal was confused as she was not dressed for a hike, but she did not know that Jasdeep had mapped out the exact spot where he was going to propose. As the sun was setting over the water, he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee.

Sonal and Jasdeep knew they wanted to incorporate key elements of both their cultures and religions into their wedding day. Having two ceremonies back to back and a full reception the next day in the same room meant a lot of careful planning and strategic design and custom décor elements had to be created. With the help of Emma and the EBE team, they were able to create an elegant and timeless look with a neutral palette of ivory, gold, blush pink and greenery. This allowed for the bright and rich colours of the beautiful traditional Indian attire to shine.
